My Background
I founded CSA Research in 1999, establishing it as the leading market research firm in localization and globalization. Prior to this, I played a pivotal role in shaping industry strategies as a co-founder of Interbase Software, vice president of corporate strategy at Idiom Technologies, and one of the first analysts at Forrester Research. At Forrester, I launched research coverage on key areas such as content management, digital marketing technologies, customer relationship management, and business globalization.
With more than 30 years of experience in technology, language services, and market research, I have advised senior executives at Global 2000 companies and some of the world’s most influential language service and technology providers. My expertise spans online marketing, localization, multilingual content management, and return on investment strategies for global business expansion.
I hold a doctorate in linguistics from Brown University, specializing in generative grammar, computational linguistics, and the historical phonology of Slavic languages. My academic background includes studies at Moscow State University and Moscow Linguistic University in Russia, Charles University (Univerzita Karlova) in the Czech Republic, and ILISA in Costa Rica.
