Description: In this session, CSA Research will review the November webinar topic and the corresponding requirements to connect to the systems of corporate record and social engagement that support internal operations, customer interactions, and partner ecosystems. As client-side organizations strive to leverage every permutation of digitized content and code for ambitious globalization plans, support for such connectivity has become table stakes for successful LSPs.
Followed by Leadership Council dinner at 8:00 pm.
Day 2: Friday February 22, 2019
Times: Morning session from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm followed by lunch
Focus: Machine Learning
Description: Incorporating artificial intelligence into content workflow affects LSPs from project management through translation or interpreting delivery. In this session, CSA Research will: categorize the current and future role of AI-based automation in LSP operations; investigate the level of investment in AI-based project management and neural machine translation; analyze the impact of AI-based operations on PM job functions and requirements; analyze the impact of AI-based operations on other LSP roles; determine the effect that machine learning will have on client demand and requirements; determine the effect that better MT and the switch from post-editing to augmented translation will have on linguists; and review investment in training and staffing for AI-based technologies.
